I Didn’t Think I Was Lovable

Here’s the truth of why I share so much about my Bride…

The reality is, I never thought I’d be able to love a woman or be loved by one because of my insecurities and the attachment issues I had.

I was tortured and abused as a kid and my mother married six times. I went to 14 different schools and lived in 17 houses.

Honestly, I just didn’t think I was lovable. But God …

He brought me one woman who fulfilled my dreams (I get choked up just thinking about it), and I love celebrating it every day.

We aren’t perfect. We’ve been through hell and back in the last 34-plus years — separated twice — and if we can make it, you can too!

If you’re unmarried, don’t be afraid to tell the Lord your desires for a mate and be patient — don’t settle!

If you are married and struggling, just know you’re not alone and that God’s resurrection power is available to you.

In either case, make sure you are focused on becoming a godly spouse, exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit, and trusting Him with the rest. I’m pulling for you!

“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.” — 1 Peter 4:8
